Lieutenant Commander Jonathan Webb
Lieutenant Commander Jonathan Webb joined the Royal Australian Navy in 2009 and completed the direct entry JWAC training continuum where he was awarded the Queen’s Jubilee Sword. He was awarded his BWC in HMAS Ballarat in 2011, completing several South-East and North-East Asian deployments. Lieutenant Commander Webb later completed XO Desig course and was posted as XO/BO to Aware Three in 2013 for two years. With the successful completion of his posting to Aware Three, Lieutenant Commander Webb participated in an Australian-lead rotation of CTF150 as Battle Watch Captain.
Lieutenant Commander Webb then attended PWO Course 53 in 2016, which he completed specialising in Surface Warfare before posting to HMAS Anzac in 2017. Throughout 2017 and 2018 Anzac notably participated in Exercises Talisman Sabre 17, Viking Raider 18 and South East Asia Deployment 01-18 before shifting focus to entering AMCAP, and the crew swapping to HMAS Arunta. In Arunta Lieutenant Commander Webb served as the OPSO and acting XO for a period, for which he was awarded a Fleet Commander’s Commendation.
Following his posting to Arunta, LCDR Webb was posted to the PWO Faculty as lead instructor for both Strike and ASW throughout 2019 and 2020.
Lieutenant Commander Webb assumed Command of ADV Cape Peron on 22 June 2022.
