Lieutenant Commander Kimberley Healy

LCDR Kimberley Healy

Lieutenant Commander Kimberley Healy, RAN was born in Perth, Western Australia and grew up in Cairns, Queensland before joining the Royal Australian Navy as a Maritime Warfare Officer in 2004.

Lieutenant Commander Healy conducted her Maritime Warfare Officer training on HMA Ships Arunta (II), Bathurst (II), and Adelaide (II) where she was awarded her Bridge Warfare Certificate in 2007. Lieutenant Commander Healy completed Intermediate Navigation course in 2008 posting to HMAS Melville as the Navigating Officer.

In 2009 Lieutenant Commander Healy was posted as the Gunnery Officer in HMAS Stirling 2010-12 and as the Senior Defence Interviewer at Defence Force Recruiting in Brisbane 2013-15.

In 2016 Lieutenant Commander Healy completed Assistant Principal Warfare Officer time in HMAS Ballarat (II), and subsequently successfully completed Principal Warfare Officer course in 2017. Lieutenant Commander Healy served on exchange with the Royal New Zealand Navy serving as the Operations Officer in HMNZS Canterbury (II) 2018-19 and as part of the Commissioning crew in HMNZS Aotearoa in 2020.

Lieutenant Commander Healy assumed Command of HMAS Bathurst on 5 July 2021.
