Information for Authors

The Sea Power Centre - Australia is interested in publishing research on naval and maritime issues, both historical and contemporary. The final decision, however, to publish a manuscript will be determined by a combination of the quality of the manuscript, budgetary considerations, as well as the staff effort required by the SPC-A in assessing and preparing it for publication.

In the first instance, an author should approach the Centre with a complete manuscript, formatted as per the SPC-A style guide (33.53 KB PDF). It should be noted that agreement to consider a manuscript for possible publication does not imply a final commitment by the SPC-A to publish the manuscript. The author will be notified whether their research is being considered and will then be further notified once a decision on publication has been reached. Decisions not to publish a manuscript should be considered final and will not be subject to review.
