HMAS Bendigo (II) was the ninth of the Fremantle Class patrol boats whose primary role was to conduct fisheries and civil surveillance patrols, protecting Australia's borders. She was one of four boats based in Cairns, Queensland. Bendigo (II) was the second ship to be so named, HMAS Bendigo (I) being a Bathurst Class corvette that served with distinction in World War II.

Bendigo (II) served her final year of operational life in 2006. Later that year she was paid off and replaced by an Armidale Class patrol boat.
