Grey Shutterbugs showcases a choice of images by Navy Imagery Specialists along with insights into their lives and some fascinating personal anecdotes from the great characters of this unique Navy profession.

Navy Imagery Specialists provide the Australian public with photographic and video insights into the working lives of our personnel. They perform their roles at sea, on land and in the air, in often challenging and sometimes dangerous environments. From the jungles of Papua New Guinea to the rough seas of the Bass Strait, wherever the ships and helicopters go, they go. Their flexibility and competence see them produce imagery in all conditions.

Naval diplomacy begins and ends with an influence that shapes the international environment. As Defence expands its narrative throughout the Indian Ocean, South-East Asia, the South Pacific and beyond.

Grey Shutterbugs helps to build Defence’s brand to shape the audience’s behaviour so that we are seen as the ‘security partner of choice’.
