ARRTS
ADF Arts for Recovery, Resilience, Teamwork and Skills is an arts-based program to assist permanent ADF and Reservist personnel facing health and well-being challenges, or seeking to ‘re-set’ themselves, by rebuilding confidence and resilience. No previous experience or training required.
AWM - Napier Waller Art Prize
Competition open to former and current ADF personnel. Encourages artistic excellence, promotes the transformative power of creativity, and raises awareness of the experiences and talent of service personnel. No required theme or medium.
Australian National Veterans Arts Museum
Veteran-led charity and Public Benevolent Institution, ANVAM supports mental, physical, and social wellbeing of current and former service members and families through community-based facilitated Arts engagements.
Sea Power Centre - Australia
Delivers maritime doctrine and concepts, historical studies and contemporary analysis in order to record the Navy’s past achievements, enhance the current Navy, and shape the future maritime force.
Australian National Maritime Museum
Presents a changing program of stimulating exhibitions and events to share Australia’s maritime history, connecting stories, objects, people and places. Free entry for ADF members, and discounts for accompanying family.
Australian Naval Institute
Provides a forum for those interested in maritime affairs. Encourages and promotes the advancement of knowledge and exchange of ideas relating to the Navy and the maritime profession.
Veteran Surf Project
Not-for-profit organisation offering support through surf therapy and other activities to Australian veterans suffering from PTSD.
Young Veterans
Aims to connect those who are isolated with others and engage with society. Not necessarily about reminiscing about service times, it is about moving forward, re-engaging and inspiring young veterans to achieve and succeed beyond their time in service. Events include: 4WD, camping, fishing, stand up paddle boarding, surfing, yoga, power lifting, ten pin bowling, swimming with whales, walking, coffee catch ups, rock climbing, off-road racing teams, etc.
