CMDR Danielle Radnidge

Commander Danielle Radnidge, RAN joined the Australian Defence Force Academy in 1998 and graduated in 2000. She trained as a Seaman Officer and then subsequently completed Intermediate Navigation course and Principal Warfare Officers course, specialising in Surface and Underwater Warfare.

Her seagoing appointments have included HMA Ships Melbourne, Manoora, Labuan, Diamantina, Kanimbla, Warramunga, Darwin, Stuart and Parramatta. Her shore appointments have included Staff Officer in the Frigate Group as the Operational Requirements Manager, Navy capability sponsor in the Surface Combatant and Aviation Division as Staff Officer Underwater Warfare and Deputy Director Combat Systems.

Her operational deployments consist of Operation SLIPPER in 2002 as Officer of  the Watch in HMAS Melbourne; two rotations to Operation ANODE in 2003 and 2004 as Executive Officer in HMAS Labuan; Operations RESOLUTE, RELEX II, and CRANBERRY in 2006 as Navigation Officer in HMAS Diamantina; Operation SLIPPER deployments in 2008 and 2011 as a Principal Warfare Officer in HMA Ships Warramunga and Melbourne respectively; and in Operation AUGURY in 2017 as Executive Officer in HMAS Parramatta.

Commander Radnidge completed technical Staff Course Capability and Technology Management Program (CTMP) in 2014. She holds a Master of Capability Management, Master of Cyber Security Operations, Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science (Hons). Her honours thesis in Chemistry studied the decontamination of chemical weapons.

Commander Radnidge assumed Command of HMAS Harman on 16 July 2021.
