The Mark 75 Mod 0 naval gun is a fully automated, remotely controlled gun mount which stows, aims and fires 76mm, 62 calibre ammunition. Automatic water cooling of the barrel allows sustained operation at high firing rates.

The Mark 75 gun is primarily a defensive weapon against aircraft and missile threats, however, it can also be used effectively against surface and shore targets.
