Located on the lands of the Wandi Wandandian people of the Yuin nation, FAAM tells the story of Australian naval aviation since 1948. The museum houses over 30 aircraft, from early twentieth-century biplanes to modern jets, along with technology, models, clothing, personal memorabilia and audio-visual displays.
Visitors can explore the fascinating stories of members who have served Australia in the Fleet Air Arm, and take in stunning views of the runway at HMAS Albatross, the Navy's largest operational naval establishment and only air station. Designed to resemble an aircraft hangar, FAAM features a main exhibition hall, two art galleries, and an archive for researchers.
