This volume was commissioned as a response to A Stronger and More Prosperous World through Secure and Accessible Seas published by the US Naval War College, to provide an Australian perspective on international maritime law issues. It examines relevant trends in the law of the sea that impact upon Australian interests and assesses regional law of the sea practice, as they impact on the freedom of navigation.
